Return to yesteryear in a fun weekend at Whanganui.

Travel in comfort in a deluxe air-conditioned coach.

We leave New Plymouth in the morning of the 20th and return late afternoon 21st January.

Departure Dates

20 January 2018

Day 1:  Depart New Plymouth bound for Whanganui via Surf Highway 45.  On arrival we will deliver you to the River Traders & Farmers Market to meander around the stalls featuring the work of local artists & craftspeople, and food growers offering tastings of fresh seasonal fruit, home-baked breads, hangi and goat cheeses.  The afternoon is time to enjoy the Wheels on Victoria parade and street carnival.

Day 2:  After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel we embark on a river cruise on the Waimarie Paddle Steamer.  During the afternoon we take a 'tiki tour' to Drurie Hill where you can ride the elevator to the top of the water tower or climb the War Memorial Tower for panoramic views of the Tasman Sea, Mt Ruapehu and Mt Taranaki.  It is then time to return to Taranaki.
