      Day 2:  Coromandel
At Driving Creek Railway ride the narrow gauge train up through the bush to the pinnacle - the Eyefull Tower. We lunch with Liz Cameron on the water’s edge then, with screen printing artist Pete Sephton as our guide, we tour the town’s historic buildings and artists’ studios

      Day 3:  Coromandel - Whitianga
We head over to Colville to hear the history of the landmark General Store run by the local community for 40 years. Then the East Coast golden sand beaches beckon - Whangapoua, Matarangi and Kuaotunu. We stay two nights at Admiralty Lodge, Whitianga.

      Day 4:  Whitianga
This morning, on a glass-bottomed boat, we cruise down the coastline from Whitianga to Cathedral Cove to see for ourselves why this beautiful Cove became a movie star. Returning to Whitianga, we stroll the beach and check out this fast growing centre.

      Day 5: Whitianga - Whangamata
